Habitat for Humanity Home Build

We will be working alongside future homeowner Michael who lives with and cares for his 90-year-old mother, and he says he will feel more empowered and secure owning his own home. Christ Church Cathedral donated the funds to cover two of the eight days of construction, and it’s also up to us to provide the necessary people power to accomplish the build tasks on our days.

Each build day covers a variety of tasks and there will be different types of work for everyone. Food and drink will be covered, so all you have to do is sign up for a build day and show up dressed and ready to work!

Each day will start around 7:00 a.m. with breakfast and we’ll start working around 7:30 a.m. Most of us will work as teams on various tasks throughout the house. Habitat will provide all the tools and knowledge.  Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. and then we’ll wrap up around 3:30 p.m.

Sign up here.

Any questions, please contact Fielding Logan either by phone 615-465-4227 or email fielding@qprime.com.

Jesse Tree Event

Many in our parish family are unable to come to church due to illness or infirmity. A wonderful way to share the love of Christ during the season of Advent is to make a visit to a parishioner and present them with a Jesse Tree*.

Please consider gathering your family or a group of friends and join us on December 15 at 1:00 p.m. for a brief time of fellowship and carol singing before being sent out to make your visit.

If you have a family member who would like to receive a visit on December 15 or you would like to participate, please contact the Reverend Lissa Smith or call 615-255-7729.

*The Jesse Tree is a small evergreen that represents Jesus’ family tree that rises from Jesse of Bethlehem, the father of King David. It is decorated with symbols portraying Jesus’ ancestors.
