our Mission Statement

Christ Church Cathedral lives God’s love in downtown Nashville through our worship and welcome, curiosity and community, and care of all people.

We are called to be disciples of christ who

  • Find the love of God in prayer and in the celebration of Holy Communion.

  • Share God’s plan to renew and restore all creation to wholeness in Christ.

  • Welcome the stranger, bear each other’s burdens, and share God’s healing power in Christ’s name.

  • Seek the face of Christ in every human being and strive for the justice and peace of God.

  • Honor and safeguard God’s abundance in our lives and acknowledge the Holy Trinity—Creator God, Son, and Holy Spirit—as the source of all.

welcome statement

Christ Church Cathedral is a welcoming and inclusive faith community. Leaning into the Baptismal Covenant, our community strives for justice and peace among all people, and respects the dignity of every human being. We cherish the diversity of God’s people across all abilities, ages, economic backgrounds, ethnicities, races, genders, and sexualities. In the Episcopal Church, this diversity is represented in our bishops, priests, deacons, and laity. All are beloved and belong here.
