Centering Prayer
Be still and know that I am God -Psalm 46:10
Centering Prayer is meant to enrich and complement other forms of prayer, not exclude or replace them. We invite you to join us to explore and learn more about Centering Prayer, to experience in community this contemplative practice, and to join in brief conversations about readings on contemplative practice. Newcomers are welcome at all gatherings of Centering Prayer.
The Cathedral Centering Prayer group gathers weekly year-round with a simple format that includes reading an excerpt from the writings of various authors, brief conversation around the reading, and a twenty-minute silent sit.
