FAQs

Who owns the garage?

Christ Church Cathedral owns 81 parking spaces in the parking garage.

Where is the entrance?

The entrance is on 9th Avenue, across from the entrance to the SBC garage entrance, on the East side of 9th Avenue–the right side if you have turned from Broadway.

Which parking spaces are owned by Christ Church Cathedral?

All of the spaces on the first 3 levels, before you get to the gates, are owned by Christ Church Cathedral. The spaces after the gates are owned by the Tempo Hotel and are for hotel use only.

When can the garage be used by Christ Church Cathedral members?

The Tempo garage is available for use by CCC members during Sunday church services until 1:30 p.m., and for other church services, such as weddings and funerals when Lot A is full. It will also be available for attendees for large events such as Bachanalia.

Is there a stairwell or an elevator?

Yes. Please use the stairwell or elevator located in the corner of the garage closest to the Cathedral (southwest corner). Other stairwells lead to exits and areas of the hotel further from the church. On 9th Avenue, the stairwell and elevator entrance are next to the car entrance.

Do I need to “scan” in or pay when attending church services or events?

No. When attending a church service or event you do not need to scan the QR code or text to pay for parking.

Can I park in the Tempo garage for free when attending a non-church event downtown?

When not in use by the Cathedral, the garage spaces are rented on a monthly basis and used for transient daily/hourly parking. If you park in the garage for a non-church event you will need to pay as anyone else will.

Will the SBC garage still be used on Sunday?

Yes, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) garage will still be available for Sunday morning services from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., as well as for large services such as the Easter Vigil and Christmas Eve, and for events such as BACHanalia.
