“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” -Matthew 6:21
In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus admonishes the assembled crowd not to lay up for themselves treasures on earth but to lay up treasures in heaven. His words challenge the disciple. They assert the discipline of sacrificial giving as essential to the life of the Christian. Sacrificial giving transforms the heart and becomes the outward and visible sign of the Good News.
There are many wonderful ways to give to the Glory of God and in support of the mission and community of Christ Church Cathedral, see below.

A Teaching Statement on the Tithe from Dean Kimbrough
It is my hope that every year I am blessed to serve the people and congregation of Christ Church, each new iteration of the Vestry will continue to review and study the teaching documents of the Church on the tithe. Whether in a Sunday Forum or by reference to a Sunday reading from Scripture, in letters to the parish, or in a sermon, parish leadership and member alike will hear the tithe held up as a practice of Christian discipleship and as an aspirational goal. To that end I offer this brief synopsis of the teaching on the tithe and reflections on how it may be used by the Episcopal Church. Read more here.

Securely give to Christ Church Cathedral :
Make a lasting gift to Christ Church Cathedral. Planned giving is a generous and effective way of ensuring the Cathedral’s future vibrancy. You can make a planned gift to Christ Church Cathedral in a number of tax-beneficial ways.
The twin purposes of a formal planned giving program are set forth in The Book of Common Prayer, page 445:
1. To encourage parishioners to protect members of their household by having a will, and
2. To encourage Christians to include the church in their wills or other estate plans.
Jesus said, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:15-16
