Solemn Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Saints will be offered on Sunday, November 2, at 4:00 PM, and will be preceded by an organ concert by Associate Organist and Choirmaster, Peter Rogahn, at 3:30 PM. Choral Evensong will be sung by the Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Michael Velting, Peter Rogahn, organ. It will feature Canticles commissioned by Christ Church Cathedral in 2010 for the retirement of Canon Dr. Geoffrey Butcher, as well as a brand new set of Preces and Responses by Annabel Rooney, a recent gift to the Music Library. Two other new compositions, also gifts to the Library, are by Eleanor Daley and Jake Runestad. The organ concert and Choral Evensong will be followed by a reception, to which all are welcome.
