Come and join us at the Christ Church Cathedral 2027 Women’s Retreat! The women of Christ Church Cathedral will gather for our annual retreat at beautiful Montgomery Bell State Park for a weekend of prayer, reflection, and fellowship.

Our Keynote Speaker
Dr. Michelle Donice Gillis is a writer and educator who serves as Assistant Dean for Arts and Humanities at Nashville State Community College and teaches craft at The Porch Nashville. Her work explores spirituality, African American culture, the importance of literacy, and women’s empowerment.
What to Expect
- Prayer & Worship: Morning and evening prayer, compline, and Sunday Eucharist
- Teaching & Conversation: Sessions with Dr. Gillis, contemplative prayer, and small-group discussion
- Warm Community: Shared meals, social time, and fellowship with each other
Expect regular rhythms of prayer, time for reflection and movement, and plenty of soul-filling fellowship.
Retreat Structure
The retreat begins Saturday morning and concludes with worship on Sunday morning.
Optional Friday night: Come early for extra rest and fellowship. Arrivals begin at 4:00 PM, followed by a potluck supper and fire & compline. Friday night lodging is available as an add-on for those who wish to arrive early.

Lodging
Lodging at Montgomery Bell State Park is hotel-style, with two queen beds per room. The base price for overnight registration is $275 and is for a shared room. The registration form has a space to include a preferred roommate’s name. Single rooms (no roommate) are available for an additional fee. Event organizers will make all reservations and room assignments.
Registration Deadlines
- Sunday, December 13, 2026: Register by this date to guarantee an overnight room. Rooms will be limited after this date.
- January 8, 2027: Final registration deadline.
Scholarship Gifts (Optional)
The registration form includes an option to add a contribution to the attendee scholarship fund, helping make the retreat accessible for all. If you can’t attend but would like to contribute so others can go, please email Melanie Percival.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Through December 13, 2026: Registration is fully refundable.
- December 14, 2026, through January 8, 2027: A partial refund of $100 will be given.
- After January 8, 2027: All fees are non-refundable.
