Workshop: Marriage Rites and the Search for a New Bishop

Join us at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, with our guest the Rev. Kelli Joyce, for a workshop reviewing current Episcopal church law  (“canons”) on equal access to marriage rites, non-discrimination in the ordination process and hiring, conscience protections, and more. This information, falling under the umbrella “Communion across Difference,” is good for you to know as we approach the election of our new bishop in the Diocese of Tennessee. Christ Church Cathedral and our clergy, like all Episcopal dioceses, parishes, and clergy, must follow the canons of the Episcopal Church, and significant changes were made in 2024 to these canons.
