Walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God
This is the final installment of the 2012 Every Member Canvass video series. In this video, Dean Timothy Kimbrough acknowledges the many who have been involved in this project and urges every member of every household in the Cathedral congregation to recognize God's movement among us as He calls to us to give. Walk in love as Christ loved us.

Dean Timothy Kimbrough introduces the 2012 Every Member Canvass theme and mission: "Walk in love, as Christ loved us." Each video presentation by Christ Church parishioners will provide a personal witness to the love of God in Christ made manifest in their lives.
Lawrence tells her story of gratitude and appreciation for the love of God in Christ as demonstrated by the Christ Church community. This love and her desire to show her appreciation is what motivates her to respond to this year's Every Member Canvass.
Walker Mathews describes his faith as rooted in the Summary of the Law: 'love God and your neighbor as yourself'. He is made plain in his participation in the Sunday Liturgy and in his powerful connection with the children of Amistad. This is the foundation on which Walker's gratitude and spiritual renewal rests.
Mary Morgan is mindful of how she represents the whole of the Christ Church community when she works as a "Wayfarer" on Sunday morning. She charges the viewer to remember the "admonition to walk in love as Christ loved" when you give this. Your gift of gratitude provides for the Cathedral to show hospitality and love.
David Paine asserts that one cannot "walk in love as Christ loved us" until you have come to a place in life where you are ready to accept the love Christ has for you. He sees being able to receive God's love as a prerequisite to being able to give. Your pledge, your weekly offering in response to Christ's love puts you "in that circle of grace" that only God can provide.
The Dean acknowledges the many who have been involved in this project and urges every member of every household in the Cathedral congregation to be present Sunday, November 13, 2011 for "Ingathering Sunday" to be counted, to stake their claim, and deliver their pledge card (or card of notice indicating that you have already pledged).
Thanks to Tameron Hedge and her videographer, Rob McDonald, for their extraordinary skill and ability devoted to developing this series.
