Education Committees
The Children's Special Events Committee plans special opportunities to highlight the liturgical year and coordinates Vacation Bible School. For more information, please contact Amy Caudle, 833-4471. The Adult Education Committee provides an opportunity for education and spiritual growth for adults in the church. In addition to Sunday morning and Wednesday evening classes, opportunities include Education for Ministry, Journey in Faith (the Catechumenate), Centering Prayer, Book Study Groups, Weekend Symposia, Companions in Christ, Emmaus Group, Spiritual Direction, Gifts and Talents, Women's Bible Study, Monday Bible Study, visiting lecturers and other special programs. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a religious education program for children ages 3 to 12 grounded in scriptural and liturgical study using tangible, self-teaching materials. For more information, please contact Chris Hansen, 386-9336. Companions in Christ offers a transforming experience in spiritual formation in a small group setting. The series explores classic spiritual practices, and invites participants to develop daily patterns that open their lives to a deepening relationship with God and one another.
