Christian Education Volunteer Opportunities
To Work with Children ages 3 - 12
We request that each family choose one area to provide support to the program of spiritual formation for our children:
CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD
Willing volunteers are always needed to help in classrooms on Sunday morning on both a regular basis and occasionally.
Help monitor door in Annex
Catechists are trained in accordance with national guidelines. This training includes education on the moral development of the 3 - 6 year old child and an examination of the lessons presented to that age child. These lessons include liturgy, the Infancy Narratives, parables, geography, and baptism. This is excellent training for persons interested in working in the program; however, persons attending these classes are NOT required to teach. The class offers a rich experience for all.
You can work at the Cathedral or at home. Whatever your abilities, we can use you. Specialized help includes:
